• Uploaded resume (optional — used only for form pre-fill, not stored permanently)
• Payment information (processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details)

Information collected automatically:

• Browser type and version
• Pages visited and time spent on pages
• Referring URL
• IP address (used for analytics only, not stored with your personal profile)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate your personalized CareerOS report using AI analysis
• Deliver your report and any purchased materials to your email
• Allow you to return and access your report using your email address
• Send transactional emails (report delivery, payment confirmation)
• Send re-engagement emails if you viewed your free report but did not upgrade (you may opt out at any time)
• Improve the accuracy and quality of our AI analysis engine
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

3. AI Processing of Your Data

CareerOS uses artificial intelligence to analyze your assessment responses and generate your career report. Your responses are sent to a large language model (LLM) for processing. This processing is used solely to generate your personalized report.

We do not use your data to train AI models. Your responses are not shared with other users or used to build profiles for advertising purposes.

4. Cookies and Tracking

CareerOS uses cookies and similar technologies to:

• Maintain your session so you can return to your assessment or report
• Understand how users navigate the platform (analytics)
• Improve platform performance

We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data to third parties.

You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of CareerOS may not function correctly without them.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in an encrypted, access-controlled database. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

Assessment responses and generated reports are retained to allow you to return and access your report at any time. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

Uploaded resumes are processed for form pre-fill and are not stored permanently after processing is complete.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe — payment processing (subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy)
• SendGrid — transactional email delivery
• AI/LLM providers — report generation (your data is not used for model training)

Each third-party service receives only the minimum information required to perform its function.

7. Your Rights (CCPA / GDPR)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
